SKIMMER POOL

A skimmer pool is technically relatively simple. This means that it can naturally score points in terms of price. It also takes up less space than an overflow pool, for example. The skimmer – which is attached to the edge of the pool – sucks dirt from the surface of the water and holds back the trapped dirt through a flap.

Functionality of a skimmer pool

Most pools that you can buy as standard these days are equipped with a skimmer filter system. When cleaning the water surface, the water flows into a catch basket – also known as a leaf basket – due to the constant suction caused by the pump. This leaf basket must be cleaned and checked regularly so as not to overload the pump. Depending on the skimmer variant, the filling limit can vary between 7 – 15 cm below the edge of the pool.

The design of the skimmer pool is comparatively simple and therefore the technical requirements are low. The water is drawn into the pump via the skimmer and floor drains. There it is drawn through the filter(s) and released back into the pool via the inlet nozzles.

Skimmer variants

Standard Skimmer

With the standard skimmer, the water surface area from the edge of the pool is minus approx. 15 cm.

Slim - Skimmer

SLIM skimmers allow a higher water level of minus 10cm compared to the standard wide-mouth skimmer

A little more water also means that the view out of the pool is higher and therefore more beautiful, as you can see more of the surroundings.

The slimline skimmer gives the pool a higher quality look.

High- Level Skimmer

The waterline of the high-level skimmer is only 5 cm below the edge of the pool.
The wide suction opening offers further advantages and it is a very stable and high-quality skimmer
